Who We Are

We are quite simply, but profoundly, a church. You may think that this is does not say much, but it is meant to communicate a great deal.

Christ founded His church, died for His church and preserves His church.

We believe that the church is chiefly defined not by what we do, but by what Jesus has done for us—which is the gospel.

He is the church’s Head and Redeemer.  For this reason we choose to focus on what He has done and not on programs, choosing to make much of Him rather than thinking that we must 'do' to be relevant.

This is our work—to proclaim and glory in His work. This is who we are and what we strive to do.

Great Plains Reformed Baptist Church is a sister church to Meridian Church, Comanche Ok., having been sent out from this body. We are a Southern Baptist Church and are associated with the Christ Centered Church Network of Southwest Oklahoma.

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

1 Peter 2:9-10
